How long have you worked in the water industry and what first sparked your interest in this field?
I have been in the water industry for approximately 10 years now and I first was interested in water resources because it seemed to be an engineering field that would allow me to help people. I always knew I wanted to be an engineer of some sort, but was attracted to water resources engineering initially because everyone needs water, and the practicality of helping people with water resource engineering was easy to see.

Meeting new people is not nearly as intimidating as I had made it out to be.
What are some upcoming trends or challenges you see with Colorado water?
Outside of meeting the water supply demands of a growing population, I think there will be a lot of challenges related to incorporating new technologies with tried and tested methodologies, particularly as it pertains to quantifying historical water usage.
What value or benefit does being a Colorado AWRA member bring you? To me, the greatest benefit of being an AWRA Colorado member is growing a network of professionals and developing new connections that have assisted me in my career. I actually attended my first AWRA event as an unemployed, recent college graduate and met my future boss at that same event.
